Fresh Menswear Looks for 2015

One of the exciting fabric trends we noticed at the December 2014 High Point Fabric Show (Showtime) is an abundance of handsome, revitalized, re- inspired menswear looks.

Always one of my favorite showrooms is Keystone Weaving.  Their background story expresses the true spirit of the textile industry, the “keystone” of the economy of the early American colonies… but I digress.   Rae McKinnon, Director of Showroom Design at Keystone, consistently executes fantastic and inspiring displays. This season featured very masculine aesthetics.

The well-attired sofa in the showroom also shows Rae’s inventive details.  Note the cute pillow with the open zipper “fly”.

These handsomely displayed wovens are of top quality craftsmanship.  Chameleon will be receiving samples in early January and we are sure to include several in our repertoire of fabric selections.

Roth & Tompkins has always had a knack of producing great traditional plaids, stripes, houndstooth and herringbone textures to complement any menswear look.

Softline has also introduced some very light weight plaid wovens that will be great for bedding and drapery for that special office, den or “man-cave”.

Chameleon has developed three Bridge Colors™ for our menswear focus:  Bark, Navy and Charcoal. We have ordered a beautiful velvet pinstripe in Navy and Ivory that will be great for upholstery.

Some of our Chameleon Fine Furniture™ styles lend themselves to a more masculine vibe.

But my real interest for an extra special focus of menswear looks emanates from my desire to help my son’s incredible business, Wingtip (www.wingtip.com).

Ami integrated a high end retail store concept for “anything guy” with a traditional “club” membership to create an urban refuge for today’s modern gentleman.  Monthly dues are credited back for merchandise in the store while members enjoy amenities such as Billiard Room, Golf Simulator, Wine Storage, Full Bar, Restaurant, Catering Services, Private Conference Rooms, Barber Shop, Custom Tailoring and of course the perfect Shoe Shine!

Wingtip, located at 550 Montgomery in the heart of San Francisco’s Financial District, is truly a tourist attraction and worth the visit.  Of course tell Ami that Chameleon sent you!
