Mackenzie Childs Inspiration

I just received my newest Mackenzie Childs Catalog, which for me is a Christmas present in and of itself! It is an explosion of colors, combinations and ideas that sends my mind into a whirlwind of thought.

Especially wonderful are the unique shapes and fun embellishments of their Christmas stockings. What is really great is they now have the ribbons with their signature black & white checks for purchase so a DIY person can create a fun specialized look of their own.

I have some Waverly black & green Dunmore Stripe leftover from pillows past and I’m going to try the chevron technique they show on the cover on my own version of a Christmas stocking. I will post a picture as soon as I complete it – but I’m not promising this year!

“Leave No Fabric Behind” could be our store motto at Chameleon, and as many of you know we bundle up even the smallest scraps in a fun grab bag for just such an occasion as to make a collage purse or a Christmas stocking.

I’ve always been on the lookout for unusual trims and embellishments that give the signature Mackenzie Childs look to sell at Chameleon. I can’t wait to incorporate some of these in these holiday projects. Season’s greetings!
