Win and I really were looking forward to our twice yearly trip to High Point North Carolina for the newest fabric introductions. The last show in December was really upbeat after many years in the doldrums and this June the show was even brighter!
Blues…true blue, indigo cobalt, navy and royal were the dominant colors in practically every showroom.

We were excited to see the resurgence of American made products, Keystone Weaving, Bella Dura, Sunbury and Valdese Weavers. We will have samples from these companies soon.
Most of the mills show the new fabrics by appointments of 30 minutes in small office settings so samples can be selected in “privacy”. Carlos is our new Representative for Covington and is shown here displaying some of the new fabrics from Covington. The owner of the company came into the room to thank us for our business!

The wining and dining while running from appointment to appointment really helps refresh the spirit. I just had to take a picture of the beautiful salmon spread at Kravet!

So right after this wonderful luncheon we were escorted by VP Bob Beloff to see the new fabrics and what a delight it was. Kravet is introducing its new line from Jeffrey Allen Marks (the designer from Million Dollar Makeover on Bravo TV show). His designs are very clean, coastal and will be perfect for our coastal customers. Many fabrics still have a contemporary bent but not as outrageous as three years ago, so they are more versatile now.

My favorite inspiration comes from the new Diane Von Furstenberg fabrics introduced by Kravet. The Kravet ads appearing in Elle Décor magazine would fit in the welcome area of our store with our raspberry bright walls. This collection is for the especially brave and colorful among us. They are beautiful and true to Diane’s fashion spirit.

We are proud, as always to have our Chameleon Fine Furniture in the PK Lifestyles showroom. For this show our furniture was dressed in iconic Waverly fabrics. Kate Winton, the showroom designer and her team really made a refreshingly inviting setting to show off the new looks. The Jessica Sofa in the Navy Strands fabric was especially striking.

We had a wonderful time at the fabric show, and hope to be receiving new samples to share with you very soon!
