Twice a year Win and I venture to North Carolina for the High Point Fabric Show called “Showtime”; the total “candy store” experience for anyone who loves textiles. This year, I met Jaclyn Smith, saw some really great showrooms, and of course saw beautiful fabrics!
The bi-annual trip to the “Showtime” Fabric show in the heartland of America’s furniture and textile industry is always the highlight for me as a furniture maker and designer. This year was especially upbeat with lots of captivating introductions…
“Showtime” (the twice yearly Fabric Show in High Point North Carolina), is always one of the most exciting times for a dedicated “fabricholic”. Even the weather cooperated for this year’s show.
One of the exciting fabric trends we noticed at the December 2014 High Point Fabric Show (Showtime) is an abundance of handsome, revitalized, re- inspired menswear looks…
We haven’t publicized it as much as we should, but we carry some great rug lines at Chameleon Home: Capel, Surya and Dash & Albert. Each of these companies have great websites where the rugs can be viewed and then ordered through our store.
Win and I really were looking forward to our twice yearly trip to High Point North Carolina for the newest fabric introductions. The last show in December was really upbeat after many years in the doldrums and this June the show was even brighter!
Blues…true blue, indigo cobalt, navy and royal were the dominant colors in practically every showroom.
The medallion print, Madras, is a fabric we’ve actually had for a little while, but we felt that we haven’t given it much attention. We love this fabric!
I believe almost every woman has dreamed of owning the quintessential white couch but kids, pets and daily life gets in the way of that vision. In the great movie, “Something’s Gotta Give” with Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson, the beautiful coastal white living spaces along with Diane’s white turtlenecks certainly helped to foster that dream.
In this Friday Fabric Fix, we’re featuring a few of the fabrics from the 2013 Winter High Point Fabric Show. The Ikat and geometric prints are both new fabrics from a new company.
